Akumal is right on the beach and the salt attacks everything metallic in the equipment: hardware, filter lids, grilles and above all the pump motor. In Akumal we see motors corrode in 2 or 3 years where inland they last 8. Protecting the equipment here is worth more than optimizing the chemistry.
Corrosion damage is what actually costs an Akumal owner money, and it's almost never in the maintenance contract. We include equipment inspection and protection: rinsing the motor, a sacrificial anode where applicable, and early warning when a part starts pitting. It's far cheaper than replacing a pump.

Salt air. Being metres from the sea means salt-laden air 24 hours a day, and that corrodes the motor, the hardware and the electrical connections far faster than in town. It's mitigated with an equipment room that's ventilated but shielded from the sea breeze, periodic rinsing of the motor's exterior and sealed connections. We include it in the service.
Yes. With HOAs we work on an annual contract, with a readings log, a monthly report for the assembly and an anticipated equipment replacement budget. For condos with several pools we quote on total volume and service them all on the same day.
Yes. We do a deep clean with shock treatment and continuous filtering until it's crystal clear, usually in 2 to 4 days depending on its condition.
