The water in Región 8
Región 8 is one of the older colonias and many pools were built without a complete circulation system: no floor return, or a single skimmer for the whole basin. The water stratifies, staying clean at the top and dirty at the bottom.
What fails here, and why
The classic mistake here is treating a hydraulic problem with chemicals. If the water doesn't circulate through the floor, no amount of chlorine will make it even. Our first step in Región 8 is almost always to find where the intakes and returns are and adjust the flow before touching the chemistry.

My pool is clean at the top but dirty at the bottom — why?
It's a lack of circulation at the floor, typical of owner-built pools in Región 8. If there's only a surface skimmer and the return points upward, the water down below barely moves. It's corrected by aiming the returns downward, adding floor suction or, at worst, adding an intake. It's a one-off adjustment, not a recurring cost.
Is it worth repairing an old pool in Región 8 or better to rebuild it?
It's almost always worth repairing. The concrete shell in these houses is usually sound; what fails is equipment, piping and finish. We give you an honest diagnosis: if the shell has structural leaks we say so, and if it only needs a pump, filter and resurfacing we say that too.
How often does my pool in Tulum need service?
In the Caribbean climate a weekly visit is the right cadence. The heat burns off chlorine and the jungle dirties the water fast; without weekly maintenance a pool turns green in a matter of days.
